Review of MunchPak Mini - February 2021
Love trying new snacks from around the world? Miss the excitement and flavors of traveling? I sure do!
In February 2021 I tried MunchPak for the first time. MunchPak is a monthly subscription box filled with international snacks. It’s a fun way to bring a bit of excitement into your life, especially while most travel is on hold.
Shout out to MunchPak! I received this MunchPak Mini for free as winner of their social media giveaway.
MunchPak Mini - 5 New Snacks to Try!
MunchPak subscription boxes come in 3 sizes.
- MunchPak Mini – 5 Snacks
- MunchPak (standard) – 10 Snacks
- MunchPak Family Pak – 20 Snacks
The MunchPak Mini was a perfect size for my wife & I. The box offered a well-planned mix of sweet and savory snacks including cookies, a snack cake, chips and gummies. If you’re planning to share with a larger family or a group, I recommend trying a larger box. MunchPak also offers a drink upgrade option.

MunchPak Mini Review - February 2021
MunchPak Mini Highlights
– Good variety of sweet and savory snacks in each box
– Experience snacks from multiple countries every month
– Competitive per-snack price point, especially with a multi-month subscription
– Free standard shipping in the U.S. (with the option for expedited shipping upgrade)
– Great for gifting (cute packaging & snacks for a variety of taste preferences)
If variety and surprise are most important to you in a snack box, I recommend MunchPak. If you’re looking for a deeper cultural or learning experience there are better boxes to meet your needs. Consider Universal Yums, Sekoya Snacks or Snack Crate which focus on a different country each month and provide additional history, trivia and learning opportunities with their boxes.
First, MunchPak’s packaging is pretty cute! (Great for sending as a gift!) The box includes a guide with brief descriptions of each snack and which country they are from. With MunchPak you receive snacks from a variety of countries around the world. If you’re considering upgrading, the booklet shows the snacks you would have received in the larger box sizes, too. Very useful to help determine if you’re interested in upgrading.

February 2021 - MunckPak Mini Snacks
The February 2021 MunchPak Mini came with 5 snacks, each from a different country! Each month’s box is different, but here is an example of what you would get as a subscriber.
Fritos - Limón y Sal
This corn-based savory snack from Mexico is a saltier, tangier version of Fritos. In my opinion, a much-improved snack from the original. These chips pack a solid crunch, and would be a perfect chip for dipping in salsa, guac or even sour cream! Limón y Sal Fritos were the only savory / chip-based snack in the February box.
Maynard's Swedish Berries from Canada
Chewy and sweet with a cute berry shape. The texture of this snack is exactly what I would hope for in a gummy – slightly softer than a Swedish fish, but they have a good chew to them and do not just melt in your mouth. These Swedish Berries taste like a mix of raspberry and strawberry flavor. A perfect movie theatre snack!
Dutch Stroopwafel
Who doesn’t love a stroopwafel? This classic Dutch snack is two waffle-like wafer cookies filled with a sweet caramel layer between. The cookie to caramel ratio was perfect: just enough filling to sweeten each bite! A hint of cinnamon comes through in the cookies, making these my favorite snack from the February 2021 MunchPak Mini!
Cubetti Hazelnut Wafers from Italy
Light and airy Italian wafers layered with a hazelnut cream. The thin hazelnut layers are surprisingly creamy, giving this treat a perfect texture and medium level of sweetness. Definitely one of the best wafers I’ve tried. Also, perfect for dipping into your afternoon coffee!
7Days Cake Bar - Chocolate
Soft, chocolate-filled and perfectly average. If snack cakes are your idea of a good time, you will probably enjoy this one. The spongy cake consistency does pair nicely with the chocolate inside. This snack is supposed to be from Bulgaria, but according to the packaging it is a product of Romania. 7Days is an international brand owned by Chipita, a Greek multinational corporation with production plants around the world. Not my new favorite snack, but is a nice addition to round out the snacks in February’s MunchPak Mini.
