Max Coco from Colombina
Sweet Snacks from Colombia
If biting into a crunchy, flaky wafer cookie is a fond childhood memory, then you will really enjoy Max Coco! This Colombian snack leads with a strong coconut flavor, present even before you take a bite. Honestly, it’s a bit of an artificial coconut scent, but not enough to stop me from still enjoying this snack. Each individual package comes with two long wafer cookies, filled with three layers of coconut-flavored cream inside. Max Coco is a great option for families, and it will be a hit with kids!
The wafer cookie has a good crunch while still being a bit softer on the inside from the coconut filling layers. One unfortunate surprise was that I expected it to be more chocolatey. As my friend said, “brown snack packaging is the universal sign for chocolate”, but I was underwhelmed. I love coconut and chocolate and either richer chocolate wafers or chocolate covering would be an improvement. Overall, a decent wafer cookie that is worth trying if you like coconut.
Try dipping Max Coco cookies into hot chocolate for a creamier, more chocolate-filled experience! They absorb the drink perfectly.
Colombina has been a staple of Colombia’s snack industry for almost 100 years! Officially registered in 1927, Colombina has grown considerably since then. Now the company has factories and plants around the world.
